Serena and Mark have a sweet story, and if you read below you can here it in Serena’s own voice. For my part in their festivities, I was struck by their style and sense of fun,and loved their thank you card idea of writing something in chalk on the hallmark big log of Kiana Lodge where their wedding and reception took place. Serena’s family lives in Indianola, so we were able to do her getting ready there in familiar comfort, and when it came time to first see each other there, Mark and their dog were ready to be wowed. The day was perfect in every way, and thanks to Seattle Parties it was a rockin good time as the moon lit night descended on the log cabin coziness of Kiana’s reception space. Thanks so much for being part of such a great family day!
We first met:
-At the George and Dragon in Fremont, through some mutual acquaintances from high school (Poulsbo), that night we realized we went to the same high school, (one class apart, but never knew each other) stayed in touch ever since that night and were married four years later
Our engagement story:
-Mark proposed at home, surprised me when i came home from work, (he had candles lit, photos of us up, music on and looked nice in his work clothes…)
-when i turned the corner he was so emotional he could barely speak and dropped to one knee and asked.
-we then popped a bottle of sparkling wine, called our family and then went to dinner at Canlis
-very personal at home, it was perfect
