The days leading up to this holiday season were damp and dark, but what a delight the sun came out blazing December 23rd for this surprise engagement session. The stage was set by the wonderful picnicsnparties out of Tacoma. I was honestly floored to see what an elaborate set up she created in a short amount of time. Da'Shon had asked Erica to wear something over her eyes, so she donned a cute sleep mask. The walk into the park was long, but they were laughing and chatting away the whole time, and the happy shock was evident on her face when she took that mask off. He led her down the red carpet and towards their picnic space, then immediately dropped to his knee and the joy was contagious. A small crowd had formed as other park goers  realized what was about to happen, and there was a roar of approval and clapping when she accepted and gave him a big kiss. 

After leaving them some time to enjoy their picnic, I came over to introduce myself to Erica, and then we got to wander around and take some darling photos of their newly engaged state. They were so happy and in the moment, it was truly impossible to take a bad pic with that excitement and beautiful day.
